10 words that will spice Up Your writing

Well, from a planet where everybody is looking for synonyms–words that replace other words, I’ll take the courage to inform you candidly that there are no synonyms. Instead, we have exact words for particular contexts. And if you can’t keep-on growing your never-ending list of vocabularies, you’ll soon be lost between gestures and mixed-up words while explaining some of the most popular activities people engage in almost daily. To help you out, we’ve compiled a list of 100 words that will, at all times, make your writing seem good. Here’s the list:
1. Elicit (verb) : To bring out; to draw; or to bring forth
Examples: – Her remarks elicited hatred between us.
– His question elicited a lot of mixed reactions from those present.

2. Palatable (adjective): a pleasant taste; tasty; or anything that’s agreeable and acceptable.
Example: – Tourists found the Kenyan cuisine to be more palatable than they had actually imagined.
Example: – They offered a palatable solution to the problem at hand.
Example: – That wasn’t a palatable way to resolve the scuffle.

3. Lucrative (adjective): Something that produces profit; a profitable business, project, venture… etc; money making or remunerative
Example: – The business she was proposing seemed lucrative enough.
Example: – Our mission was to revamp the failing business into its former lucrative state.

4. Encapsulate (verb):
I) To condense or summarize; to make it brief or short.
II) To enclose
Example: I had to encapsulate the entire talk the moment I realized she was not paying attention.
Example: The dirt was encapsulated in a black plastic bag.

5. Binge (noun): An excessive indulgence; doing too much in a short period of time
Example: A shopping binge will get you broke.
Example: The weekend is on and I am now rich, it high time I got myself in a drinking binge.

6. Suffice(verb): satisfactory or adequate; be sufficient; meet requirements; match up
Example: Ten dollar a day will suffice her needs.
Example: Her personality and beauty didn’t suffice.
Expression: I suffice it to say: meaning= I shall just say; or, Let’s say no more than…

7. Pout: To show displeasure by sulking your lips; To wear a sullen expression
Example: Her lips pouted, she was ready to cry.
Example: He pouted his lips and walked away disappointedly.

8. Coyly (adjective): shy and reserved.
Example: She decided to look away coyly as her mother scolded her.

9. Atrocities (noun): Cruelties; a terrible action
Example: Who is inhuman enough to commit such an atrocity?
Example: The atrocities laid against Gaddafi didn’t make any sense to me.

10. Dogma (noun): principles laid down by the authority; Accepted beliefs
Example: She refused to abide by all the religious dogmas she was subjected to.
Example: Some language dogmas do not apply in the current world.
